Basics

Danger of explosion

In the industrial plants and heating power plants risks for fire and explosion hazard exists within gas leak- and high concentration situations. In fuel processing the main risks are fires or explosions. These risks create serious and hazardous situations towards personnel, machinery and equipments.

Preparing for safety is a preventive action to ensuring trouble-free operation. Organizing and maintaining the level of safety are the company’s most important functions and an important part of the company’s quality system.

After possible high concentrations evaporation these chemicals create either explosion risks or harmful concentrations for health and environment. These risks and threats should be recognised in advance?

In modern industry numerous of dangerous chemicals are used, transported and stored. A leakage often starts with a small leak from a tank crack, a damaged pipe connection, technical fault, malfunction etc., which can cause accident risks to the emplyees,   costly damages to the system or to the environment.

Companies dealing with dangerous chemicals must be aware of the dangers associated with their activities and take all necessary measures to prevent accidents.

Installations handling and storing a large number of hazardous chemicals must have a security manager who ensures compliance with the laws and regulations concerning chemicals.

Gas monitoring equipment is one of the most important system in occupational health and safety equipment in the industry..

Gas monitoring devices are an integral part of safety planning and are used not only in safety technology but also in applications related to energy saving, air quality measurement and environmental protection.
