Danger of explosion ( LEL)
Flammable gases in industrial processes. In modern industry numerous of dangerous chemicals are used, transported and stored. A leakage often starts with a small leak from a tank crack, a damaged pipe connection, technical fault, malfunction etc., which can cause accident risks to the stuff, costly damages to the system or to the environment.
After possible evaporation these chemicals create either danger or explosion or harmful concentrations for health and environment. Where explosive gases are handled, there will always be a risk of leakage and explosion. Are these risks and threats of danger recognised in advance?
Portable gas detectors are one of the most helpful instruments in the industrial safety use. Personnel, who are working in the gas hazard areas, is recommended to use portable gas detectors before entering to a confined space and before starting work in “gas critical” places. The risks appear of flammable and toxic gases, or of oxygen-deficient atmosphere. It is recommended to get ready of the risks – in advance.
Safety assessment and hazard assessment analysis facilitate the identification of risk opportunities and also assist in the selection of safety equipment and applications in different operating environments.
